Educated as an engineer, system design has always been integral to my way of thinking. After a career in computing working for major corporations, I envisioned my next step to be a meaningful contribution to society. It was then I discovered permaculture, a design science that uses regenerative practises to harmonise people into the landscape by meeting their needs while providing sustainable ecological benefits.
Over the past three years, I’ve travelled through central America and Australia, working and studying with great minds while observing permaculture systems in action. Recently I’ve been designing and implementing systems all over the country. I have a particular interest in forest gardening having created one for Occombe Farm in S. Devon. Currently, I’m studying for a diploma in Applied Permaculture, while setting up a London based ecological design practise – Natural Flow.
At Natural Flow, our design process is influenced by the principles and ethics of permaculture. We promote a triple bottom line of building ecological capital, promoting superior personal health and empowering individuals and communities.
I am available to act as a consultant and or project manager for regenerative landscape design solutions. My specialisms are in forest garden design, edible landscaping and I am active in the education sector. I can facilitate workshops, or group participation design sessions for any sector in society. My work draws on the whole systems approach of permaculture for an integrative and healing response to the land while meeting the needs of people.
