Husband and wife duo Tunu and Yona Puri have teamed up with restaurateur Arjun Waney, co-founder of world-renowned hotspots Zuma, Coya, La Petite Maison and The Arts Club in Birkdale village, to launch a new restaurant and bar concept. The restaurant specializes in coastal Italian cuisine inspired by the Mediterranean, incorporating freshly caught seafood and local produce prepared using classic Italian techniques. It also feature a Crudo Bar and an al fresco Champagne Bar.

Tamarina’s ingredient-driven fare focuses on approachable cooking styles inspired by the Mediterranean coast of Italy, while presenting them in a modern, sophisticated fashion. Whether it’s branzino straight from Italy or the morning’s fresh, local snapper, Tamarina selects the highest quality, seasonal ingredients and prepares them simply, allowing the natural flavors to speak for themselves. The highlight of the inventive menu is the crudo bar which brings together delicate morsels of yellow tail, king crab, and scallops, a renowned oyster program, and various other raw seafood dishes like tiger prawn carpaccio under one roof.
Designed by David d’Almada of Sagrada in Birkdale village, the space is furnished with dark wood, brass accents and antique mirrors evoking Italian glamour with a Miami accent – chic and lively, yet relaxed and cozy. Outside, the intimately lit, lushly landscaped wraparound terrace houses the Champagne Bar that features a highly curated list of Champagne, sparkling wines and Frizzanti both by the glass and bottle.
